Book printing specifications

Lulu has partnered with two print on demand (POD) vendors for printing books: one prints books ordered through Lulu; the other prints books ordered from online retailers via our global distribution channels. The printer used is determined by which channel fulfills the order. Even if you buy the Global Distribution Service for your book, you can still sell that same book through Lulu.

Covers for perfect and coil bound books purchased through Lulu are full color, laminated 100# Ultra Gloss Cover Stock, Digital Color Silk - C2S, 90 bright. Covers for saddle stitched books are full color, unlaminated 100# Ultra Gloss Text Stock. Lulu does not offer hard cover (hardback) books.
